"Extreme Makeover - GPCAA 2012 Edition" registration

                  62nd Annual Workshop
         Camp Comeca, Cozad, Nebraska
                     April 18 -21, 2012


“EXTREME MAKEOVER – GPCAA 2012 EDITION”

The 2012 Workshop is …

§  for anyone interested in arts, crafts or fun.
§  a challenging workshop for amateurs and professionals.
§  an excellent opportunity to sharpen old skills, learn new ones and to work with people sharing your creative enthusiasm.
§  is an open lab experience. The amount of time spent on a creative experience is determined by the individual.

Camp begins 8:00 am Wednesday morning with break-fast and ends at 3:00 pm on Saturday. Workshops start each day at 8:30 am and end at 8:00 pm daily (except Saturday). Lodging available Tuesday, April 17 after 5 pm. No evening meal is served on Tuesday or Saturday. Events planned during the four-day workshop:

§  Tea times / door prizes.
§  GPCAA Gallery Silent Auction – Items created and donated by instructors and participants. Proceeds will benefit future GPCAA workshops.
§  Raffle opportunities.
§  Craft  clearance bargains.
§  Show and tell – participants are asked to bring their crafts to share with everyone.
§  Exploring the beautiful camp.

Bring a Guest
We offer a discount to a full-time camp participant who brings a full-time participant that has not attended the GPCAA workshop in the last 5 years. A credit of $25 is applied towards your resignation. Limit one participant.

Gift Certificates
Twenty-five dollar gift certificate(s) may be purchased for a friend to apply toward the 2012 camp registration. Great gift for a friend to introduce to the camp’s charm. Please contact Vickie Jorgensen, 402-646-2280 or tj22405@windstream.net

GPCAA Scholarship
The GPCAA Scholarship Fund provides a selected nominated individual to attend the annual GPCAA Workshop. An application may be submitted by those teaching arts and crafts along with a letter of recommendation from an official of the group with whom you work. Dreamcatcher Scholarship
The Dreamcatcher Scholarship give full-time high school or college students an opportunity to advance their education in the arts and crafts by participating in the GPCAA Workshop. To apply for this scholarship send your name, address and name of your school with a recommendation from a teacher or official  group that you work with in this field and a short paragraph on why you would like to receive this scholarship. Registration
Anyone 16 years of age or older, male or female, is invited to join us. An individual under 16 years is invited to participate when accompanied and supervised by a responsible adult.

Membership
Membership is included in the registration. Those not attending this year’s workshop must have their $20 membership paid by July 31, 2012 to remain on the mailing list for newsletters and 2013 brochure.

§  Lots of ideas and enthusiasm
§  Comfortable clothes and shoes
§  Sleeping bag or bedding and pillow (Overlook provides bedding)
§  Personal toiletries such as towel, washcloth, alarm clock, flashlight. (Overlook provides towels)
§  Handmade items for the GPCAA Silent Auction

Camp Rules and Regulations

§  Pets are not allowed at Camp Comeca
§  No alcohol is allowed on the entire camp
§  Smoking is not allowed in the Lodge or sleeping quarter

Lab Fees
The costs of materials provided by the instructor are determined by the instructor and are charged at the time of instruction. Most fees will be included in the supply list sent out when you pre-register. The lab fee costs are not included in your registration fee.


The GPCAA reserves the right to cancel or replace any of the workshops. All instructors must have Board approval prior to their inclusion in the GPCAA Workshop

Take Highway 21 south of Cozad. Watch for the Camp Comeca sign 4 miles south of I-80, turn right (west), continue west 4 miles, then turn left (south) at the Camp sign. Follow the winding road up to the campground.

Discount
